Report: Alumni Meet ep 2

The Department of Mathematics, Sankhya came back with the second edition of Careerscape which was attended by the students in vim and vigour.

The session started bright spot with a warm welcome by Sheetal Sharma. Bharti Singh and Nidhi Chaudary took forward the event with Ms Shivani Hooda, alumna IIT Kharagpur giving her insightful and meaty strategy for IIT JAM preparation. She focussed on consistency being the key and emphasised the importance of maintaining our health.

Ms Anjali Poonia, currently pursuing her masters from IIT Jodhpur further amplified the setting of daily, weekly, monthly targets being the need of the hour.

The webinar turned out to be a mecca of preparation tips and tricks for the IIT JAM aspirants with Ms Shivani and Ms Anjali opening a plethora of knowledge before the audience.

Ms Ujjwala Kaushik, pursuing her MBA from IIM Indore scrupulously made an acquaintance with her CAT journey and highlighted how pursuing a career based on one’s interest should be the priority. Attempting a number of mocks and deeply analysing the mistakes made after solving them has proved to be useful for her and recommends doing the same to the aspirants.

Ms Esha Awasthi working as an associate business analyst at Mobisy Technology pursued her masters in operational research from Hansraj College. Ms Awasthi accentuated the role of extra co-curriculum activities in building the personality during college which further aid in placement and interviews.

The questions and answer segment followed the address by the speakers with our alumni meticulously solving the doubts and fears of the students.

Ms Manisha Kumari, President, Department of Mathematics concluded the august gathering with her affirmative thoughts.
